It’s been a while since I’ve posted to this blog. I don’t like that fact very much, so I’m going to change that…right now.
I also want to prevent something like this from happening in the future, so here’s some goals moving forward that I want to hold myself accountable for:
- Post to the blog every week
- Create/update Peeryfolio projects every month
Since the last post, I’ve been helping my dad take photos and developing his site where people can buy said photos. It’s up and running, however there’s still a ways to go before it can be seen as fully optimized (currently orders are done via e-mail and PayPal requests rather than payment info directly).
I’ve also been slowly creating a big video project going into detail explaining the lore of The Binding of Isaac. 50 page script! Now I’m in the recording/editing phase.
The biggest challenge is figuring out the best way to go about recording my voice. Audio quality can make or break a video project like this, which is why I transitioned from holding my phone in my hand using the recorder app to having a shotgun microphone attached to the Canon EOS R7. Huge respect to audio engineers. Equalization is a headache.
Additional goals I have that don’t have anything to do with the website:
- Read the Bible once a day (at least a few passages, highlighter at the ready)
- Finish/perfect Binding of Isaac Lanky Lore video project by the end of December (originally was planned to publish before Halloween but that is not going to happen)
- Eventually implement payment handling for my dad’s photography website
That’s pretty much it.
